Clairaudience. You do not hear spirit with your earthly ears unless it is done physically. If spirit communicate physically everybody in the room should hear it, not just you. If you are the one who hears a communicator and no one else does, then your throat Chakra has been used to produce the sound. Mediums often project the voice from the head to the physical ears in much the same way a medium can project a picture from thier mind to as if to see it over there.
Many people start to hear spirit just before they go to sleep when you are in a very relaxed state. So if you think you are clairaudient try blocking your ears and listen to your throat as it were. You may just hear a indistinguishable voice at first which develops so you can tell if it is male or female. Then later you should be able to tell regional accents. See how you get on , if it doesn't work at first it may not be right for you now try later in your development. Always remember to try is success not to try is failure.
If the voices are too much and bother you, a chat with your guide may be in order to arrange certain times when you will be ready to listen to those that come. If those that come to you are just a pain then talk to your guide about it. However if you want anything to happen when you tell spirit I do not like this, you have to mean it.
