Some students get so tied up in being more spiritual that they became stuck in a cycle of disaster after disaster after disaster. They are so intent on asking to be more spiritual that the only way they can be taught is to receive a lifetime of learning in a very short time. So why does this happen? When you ask to be more spiritual you are asking for your learning to be sped up. The only way this can be done is to give you more lessons, so if your pathway is littered with disasters, think back did you ask to be more Spiritual? If you did that's the reason you find it difficult to cope with things. However you may have compounded this by asking for strength when dealing with these disasters. How can you be helped to gain in strength? by experiencing even tougher tests. What you should do is, simply, ask for help So the moral here is leave your spiritual development to its own normal pace, do not ask for more, you will find life too difficult.
The earthly mind is a strange thing it rarely allows us to live in the here and now. It either takes off into some far distant memory and we live in the past, or it takes us to some future fantasy of our desires, hopes, dreams or fears so we live in a day dream world. If we can find it in ourselves to reap every drop of the present we can make enormous gains in our life, so let us attempt to live in the present noticing every tiny detail and not wandering in the world of make believe either past or future.
In this day and age what most people want to do is rush ahead, the instant coffee syndrome. Well you may try that if you wish but it may lead you to a path you will regret. The burn out rate is very high amongst those who have tried to develop their mediumistic skills too quickly. In the early days when Susan and I thought we knew it all. So we say take your time it will come naturally with less pain and much more enjoyment for you. Live in the moment and enjoy your learning, become what is intended and not what your misplaced desires tell you.
