Feeling Your Way

Let us start you feeling your way around familiar territory. Sit in your quiet space and take a few deep breaths, now just try to imagine a familiar place maybe a previous home or somewhere that's good for you. Go into this place in your mind and as you wander through try to feel what it was like. Try to feel the colours in a room or the texture of a wall. What did the curtains feel like, was the atmosphere warm or cool. When you feel you have explored as much as you can try an experiment, try to feel what a friends first home was like. Somewhere you do not know, just let your imagination tell you what it felt like and through those feelings what it looked like, what colours were there, was it in the country or in town and anything else that you feel about it. Then check it out with your friend, it does not matter if your friend says rubbish it is good practise just getting used to these feelings and this way of working.

Finding People

While sitting in your quiet place I would like you to just explore your room with your mind try and sense a presence in the room, try to feel vibrations, to to detect warmer and colder areas. If you do detect something, try to allow your mind to describe what is, but do not worry if you do not feel anything at this stage. You may on the other hand get the feeling of a person standing there, try to sense height, weight, face shape hair colour, other features such as scars or tattoos anything that can be used to identify the person. You may sense the clothes they are wearing it might be everyday wear or a national costume. You may receive a little information to start with but as you try over the weeks you will build up more information per session.

Do Not Worry

If none of the above works for you, do not worry, It may not be the way you learn also these things take time and for each of us it will be different. We are not trying to produce duplicate Mediums here we are trying to find something for everyone. We would suggest that you keep coming back to these exercises during your development and once again let your imagination loose and come up with your own experiments to see how you get on.
